Frank.* stayed the drawer
If you browse my GitHub, the pattern is a joke. Frank. everything. Frank.BedrockSlim. Frank.PulseFlow. Frank.WhateverIThoughtOfLastTuesday.
NuGet package IDs have length limits, allowed characters, and prefix reservation so people can trust Microsoft.* and System.*. A name is the restore graph. It is also how typosquatting works. Authoring notes. How search behaves.
For discoverability, Frank is a bad brand. Search will not surface it unless you already know me. For ownership it is practical. I can see what I spawned, what I maintain, and what is allowed to be opinionated without pretending it is a neutral utility.
npm did scoped packages (@org/pkg). NuGet did prefix reservations and longer IDs.
Half of the prefix is ego. I will not pretend otherwise. The other half is hygiene in a world where every second word is Microsoft.Extensions.SomethingSomething. I want the packages to read like mine.
It gets embarrassing when someone asks which Frank library does channels, and I have to grep twelve repos. It gets embarrassing when a normal human thinks my legal name is a product line.
I would do the prefix again. Naming is the first API you ship. If Frank.* filters out people who cannot tolerate a little vanity, those people were never going to enjoy the commit messages either.
Novolis
Frank.* stayed the drawer. Experiments, half-finished ideas, the stuff I do not want a stranger to treat as a product line.
Novolis is the other prefix. I got tired of explaining that my legal name was the platform. Physics and simulation stay headless. The studios sit on top. If you want the work, that is the link. If you want the mess, it is still Frank.*.
