Galactic Confederation Review

A thousand hours of notes for the Calypso books, republished as a journal that does not exist.

The site calls itself a public archive. Register dates, series, dossiers, a charter from 2471, scholars with names I made up. That institution is fiction. The notes are not.

I write the Calypso books. The reference for them is species, cultures, history, and technology, and it lived in text files. Those files are dull to reread. The Review is the same material as selections I will actually sit with. A piece shows up when it is ready. There is no volume and no issue. A citation does not mean the cited paper is in the archive.

I put audio on the articles so I can listen while I work on something else. I called it an accessibility feature. Mostly it is how I stay in the setting without opening the folders. The audience is me. Anyone else is welcome.

The novels are a different job. I do not have a model write them. I have used one to restructure a passage, to clear the typos, and to keep a character's speech the same across a book. The sentences stay mine. This archive is the other way around. I had already written the reference. A model turned that reference into faux-academic pieces, signed by people who are not real, published by a review that is not real. It is more fun than the folders. That is the reason it exists.

It is not a wiki. A wiki is for lookup. It is not this blog.

Sins of a Capitalism Tycoon, on the Novolis page, is the freight game in that setting. The Review is the scholarship around it, not the game.
